What newspapers do you publish and what day of the week are they delivered?
•Community News Publications publishes weekly newspapers in suburban Tampa, Florida. We are the largest independent newspaper group in Tama and deliver to 125,000 homes and businesses in the area’s most affluent communities.
•Our Wednesday papers are The Laker (Pasco County), The News (Lutz/Odessa) Carrollwood Community News and The Beacon (Temple Terrace/USF). Our Friday paper is Waterfront Weekly (Apollo Beach/Riverview/Ruskin).
How many weeks will my free ad publish?
•Free ads are posted online for one week and in print publish once in all editions of our papers. If your item does not sell, you can go online and enter it again for the next week. There is no charge to run your ad again..
How many free ads can I place each week??
•As many as you want, as long as the item qualifies as a private party ad and is selling at a price under $1000. Private party garage and yard sale ads are always free. Of course, we ask our readers to be reasonable and not take advantage on our unlimited free reader ad program.
How many weeks will my paid ad publish?
•For as many weeks as you schedule in our calendar. All scheduled ads must be paid before publication or online posting.
Does it cost more to place my ad both online and in print?
•No. All classified ads appear both online and in print. Online ads are posted within 24-hours of entering. Ads remain online on our Web site until the next publication date of our papers.
It is after the 3 p.m. Friday deadline listed as your print deadline, but I can still choose next week’s publication date on our online calendar. What does this mean?
•As long as you are can click a date on the online calendar, you can still place your ad for online publication. The print version of your ad will appear in the following week.
Is my credit card and personal information secure?
•Yes. Our Web site is encrypted and certified by Verisign-owned Thawte, one of the largest certifiers of secure Web sites. Your personal information, including your e-mail address, is used only for contacting you about your ad and will never be sold or distributed to another party.
•If you enter an ad online, your credit card is not charged until your ad is approved for publication.
When does my payment have to be received if I pay by cash or check?
•For your ad to be published online and in print, cash or check must be received by fax, mail or delivered to our office by 3 p.m. Friday for our Wednesday papers and 3 p.m. Wednesday for our Friday paper. You can also call us with your bank’s name, routing number and your checking account number to process your check through ACH debit. Or, you can fax us a completed check and we will process it as a check by phone.

Why must I set up a customer record before I can place my free or paid online ad?
•Every ad must have a customer name associated with it so we can notify you of any problems and maintain your ad history. Once you enter your information, it is saved and you never need to enter it again. Just remember your user name and password and all your personal data will pop up the next time you want to place a classified ad. To protect your privacy, credit card information is not saved in our system or your customer record.
I forgot my user name and/or password. What do I do?
•Email or call our Classified staff, who will retrieve and send your user name and password by the next business day. However, if you cannot wait for our staff to get back to you, you can create a second customer record and proceed with your free or paid ad order. It is always best to enter ads under the same customer record because it allows us to keep track of the free and paid ads you’ve placed with us in the past.
How do I renew an ad that has expired, or run an ad similar to one I placed before?
•Our online system only allows entry of new ads. Call 813-909-2800 or e-mail us at classifieds@cnewspubs.com and we can quickly pull up your account to renew an ad. If it is after business hours, or to save time, you may want to re-enter your ad online as a new ad. If you want to run the same free ad again, you must enter it online under your customer name.
I don't need to run my ad anymore. How do I cancel?
•Call 813-909-2800 or email us at classifieds@cnewspubs.com to discontinue your ad if you have scheduled it to run again. We do not issue cash refunds for cancelled dates once the ad has started its schedule. We do, however, give you a credit to be used for future advertising.
There is a typo in my ad, or I need to change something in an ad that is running. What do I do?
•Call 813-909-2800 or email us at classifieds@cnewspubs.com to make changes to an existing ad. Be sure to carefully proof your ad before submitting it for publication. Our staff reviews every classified ad submitted online for typos and obvious errors, but it is ultimately your responsibility to make sure your ad is correct before submitting. Community News Publications is not responsible for typos and errors that are entered online by the advertiser.
What ads do you not accept?
•We do not accept ads promoting illegal or illicit activities such as pornography, prostitution, drugs, or cash gambling. The publisher reserves the right to refuse any advertising for any reason. Text may be changed in an advertisement that contains language that that violates Florida State Law. All online ads are reviewed and approved before posting and publication.. You will be notified if your ad is not approved for publication.
