THONOTOSASSA — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a Friday, Dec. 26, 2008 accident in Hillsborough County that claimed the life of a 7-year-old Zephyrhills boy.

Here are a list of road and lane closures for the month of January and some safety tips for the road.

NORTHDALE — One woman was killed in a wreck that occurred shortly before 10 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, officials said.

Accident occurs Dec. 26 in Thonotosassa.

Jacksonville man was driving wrong way and his car collided with another, Florida Highway Patrol said.

CARROLLWOOD — The Hillsborough County Public Works Department has announced the following lane and road closures for North Hillsborough.

TAMPA — During the holiday season the Florida Highway Patrol will be participating with the United States Marine Corps during their celebrated “Toys for Tots” program. Each of the Highway Patrol stations within the seven counties that comprise Troop C will offer a Marine Corps donation box so that items may be dropped off during regular business hours to later be delivered to children in need.

Troopers will then assist Marines as they deliver toys in coming in the coming weeks. The station addresses are listed below:
